Welcome to Cary Yoga Center
Cary Yoga Center is the yoga program
at Triangle Pilates. The program has an amazing group of experienced
yoga teachers all with Yoga Alliance certifications.
All of the Yoga Classes at our studios are “Hatha”
Yoga Classes. In our culture when we speak about yoga, we usually
mean physical yoga. Hatha is the Indian name for the physical
practice of yoga. The main component of Hatha is yogic postures,
or asanas, the Sanskrit word for a comfortable, stable pose.
Under the umbrella of Hatha a number of particular styles have
been developed such as Iyengar, Kundilini, Ashtanga, Anusara,
& Bikram. Most of our classes are a blend of these different
styles; read below for the specifics. Experience the benefits,
start your journey today.

Yoga Group Classes
NEW STUDENTS to our studio
often start by entering our on-going classes. The appropriate class
to start with depends on your background and physical condition. Please
always introduce yourself to the teacher and let her/him know your
level. For those who prefer and/or need a more structured introduction,
we offer a wonderful, educational program called Yoga 101. Private
and semi-Privates are also a great alternative in which you work individually
with a teacher at a time that is convenient for you. We can also arrange
for small groups of up to 4 who would like to start yoga together.
After reading through the classes below, please call the studio at
Lochmere 851-7221 or Stone creek (466-9989) to ask for advice in class
selection if you are unsure.
YOGA 101 (Introductory Class)
is a great “structured” first class
for those new to Yoga. Lots of personal attention is given! Yoga 101
is offered monthly; contact the studio for the next 101. YOGA 101
requires a separate registration due to the additional materials given
to participants and the smaller class size.
Cost: $35 (single 2-hour educational class), $65 (4 1-hour sessions)
or $129 for the 4-week 2x a week Yoga 101 Series program.
Refer to the home page for the latest Yoga 101 schedule.
Our On-Going Classes on the schedule are "leveled".
Please inquire if unsure which one is most appropriate for you. If
a class is not labeled with a specific level, it is open to all levels.
"All level" classes offer different approaches to Hatha Yoga that
can benefit every mind and body. Class cards are used for all ongoing
yoga and Pilates classes.
Level 1 - For students with no to little yoga experience, the poses are presented in there most basic form.
Level 1/2 -For students who are knowledgeable of and comfortable with basic yoga principles.
Level 2 - For students who feel ready to deepen their yoga practice, more complicated poses are introduced.
Level 2+ - For students who are in a strong physical condition with minimal limitations.
Hatha Yoga
is a traditional class that focuses
on alignment and finding balance between strength and flexibility.
Expect to sustain each pose for several breaths moving deeper into
your body, mind andpractice. Props are often used to modify each posture
according to your physical needs. Class will end with calming, restorative
poses and relaxation to enhance your internal experience.
Gentle Yoga
is a slower paced Hatha Class. A great FIRST
Class or long-term class for those who want longer stretches, less
“up and down” movement and more relaxation. This class is inspired
by the tradition of Iyengar with the use of props for alignment.
Mid-day Yoga
is a multi-level Vinyasa Class designed to
rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit.
Power Flow Yoga
is a Vinyasa Flow Class with Ashtanga "inspiration". Student level determines the number
of asanas that will be performed; this class is a more physically challenging class. Prior experience in yoga is recommended.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga
cultivates a strong body-mind connection by
linking your physical actions with the movement of your breath. Expect
to flow through an eclectic blend of poses in dynamically arranged
sequences that challenge your strength, flexibility and balance. To
enhance your yoga experience, class will end with time to quiet the
mind and soothe the body. You will leave feeling longer, stronger
and rejuvenated.
CORE TEEN
A Class for toning, strengthening, improving
flexibility and just feeling great! A special "Triangle Pilates-style"class for our teens. A terrific class for which to to invite a friend.
Prenatal Yoga
classes provide safe postures that help with
the common discomforts of a changing body and growing baby. Prenatal
yoga has the benefits of increased energy and self-awareness; more
balanced emotions, and heightened intuition. The emphasis on Yogic
techniques of breathing and meditation allows the expectant mother
self-empowerment while fully embracing her pregnancy.
KIDS Yoga
will develop a strong, flexible body; encourage,
explore and express creativity; develop self respect and respect for
others and the environment; teach self control and body awareness;
and develop trust…plus a whole lot more…we would be honored
to have your KIDS in class. KIDS is a “session-based class”
that involves a separate registration.
Personalized Yoga Training
Private/Semi-Private Training
A great way to learn or enhance your Yoga experience!
Sessions are set according to YOUR SCHEDULE. Private Training can
be done individually ($50-65 an hour depending upon teacher and number
of sessions you are commiting to). Should you have a group, contact
the studio and we can quote you a price based on number of participants
and time.
Workshops & Special Sessions
Our studios host workshops to give you a deeper
understanding of different aspects of yoga as well as session classes
to allow for continuity in the development of the entire class as
a whole. Students and teachers from other studios often come to these
sessions to grow in their own practice. Visit the Workshops
& Teacher Training page to see what is coming. These classes
always require a registration fee unless otherwise noted.
