Carlos Cela
Carlos Cela began his yoga journey in
late 1999. After several years of searching and practicing different
styles, including a two year period of Ashtanga Vinyasa practice,
he found the North Carolina School of Yoga, where he studied
Hatha-Raja yoga for eighteen months with Chandra Om, disciple
of Dharma Mittra. That intense period deeply shaped his personal
practice, and made him become open and receptive to the teacher
inside his heart. Carlos became certified as a Yoga Instructor
for both the 240 and 500 levels and is registered with Yoga
Alliance. Since then, his philosophical views have been deeply
influenced by the works of J. Krishnamurti and Thich Nhat Hanh,
and his asana by the elegant alignment principles of Anusara
which he came to know through the dedicated help of Lila Pierce
Brown. Carlos' intention is to help students to deepen their
self-awareness, awaken their hearts and align with their true
Self. His classes are challenging, caring and nurturing, incorporating
many aspects of traditional Hatha Yoga, aiming at opening the
flood gates of the heart to let the core of goodness inside
each of us freely flow through. |
